Exodus 14:13 – Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. In this study, we will examine the three steps that the Israelites were told to take in the face of immense danger and fear – do not be afraid, stand firm, and witness God’s deliverance.
John 4:11 – “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?” In this study, we will examine what is this living water, and the source of the skepticism that existed within the woman.
Matthew 5:48 – Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. In this study we will examine what is perfection in the mould of our heavenly Father. In this study, we will examine the perfection that belongs to God, and the perfection that we strive for when we imitate God.
1 Kings 3:9 – So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours? In this study, we will examine Solomon’s request and consider why exactly did he ask for wisdom, and whether we should also ask for wisdom.
Job 16:17 – yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure. In this study we will examine Job as a case study on keeping our prayers pure, even in hard times.
Titus 3:5 – He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. In this study, we will focus on the God’s mercy in granting his salvation, and how the Holy Spirit plays a part in this.
Philemon 1:7 – Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints. In this study, we will examine how Paul’s great encouragement to Philemon took the form of a few words in a letter.
Ecclesiastes 9:7 – Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. In this study, we will examine the context of this seemingly joyful and hopeful verse and attempt to tackle the deeper meaning behind pleasure.
Deuteronomy 5:16 – Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you. In this study we will take a brief look at this verse as we ponder about how it is important to us today.
Numbers 6:24 – The LORD bless you and keep you; In this study, we will examine the very first verse of this 3-verses long Aaron’s prayer of blessing and how it can be applied to our own lives and situations.
2 Corinthians 11:28 – Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. In this study, we will take a curious look at this pressure and compare it to the pressure we would normally face in our daily lives today.
