Romans 2:4 – Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? In this study we will examine the true nature of God’s kindness and mercy – not for us to continue sinning, but for us to repent.
Psalm 103:10 – he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. In this study we will look at the grace and mercy God has for us despite our iniquities.
2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. In this study, we will examine Peter’s explanation for the length of time that has elapsed between the prophesy being made, and the prophesy being fulfilled.
Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. In this study we will examine the three requirements that the Lord has of us, as recounted by Micah.
Titus 3:5 – He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. In this study, we will focus on the God’s mercy in granting his salvation, and how the Holy Spirit plays a part in this.
Jude 1:22 – Be merciful to those who doubt; In this study, we will examine the concept of doubt and what it entails.
Romans 9:18 – Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. In this study, we will examine what it means for God to harden the hearts of people, bearing in mind its strong relation to mercy.
Luke 6:37 – Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. In this study, we will examine the relationship between judging, condemning, and the need of forgiving; with particular focus on the virtue of forgiveness.
Lamentations 3:32 – But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. In this study we shall find hope in the book of Lamentations amidst all the tragedy and suffering.
