Acts 21:13 – Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” In this study, we will examine the heart of Paul for his brothers and sisters, and the heart of Paul for Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:15 – And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. In this study, we will look at the death and the resurrection of Jesus and the reasons behind them.
Acts 7:60 – Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep. Stephen is recognised as the first Christian martyr, and through this verse we’ll examine the idea of grace and forgiveness, and discuss a little about martyrdom.
Luke 9:23 – If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. In this study, we will examine what it means to deny ourselves and take up the cross, especially applying it to our cultural context today.
