1 Samuel 12:23 – Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way. In this study we will examine how Samuel considered not praying for his people unceasingly to be a sin, and what we can learn from that.
Ephesians 1:17 – I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. In this study, we will examine the need to continuously ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation – and not just for ourselves.
1 Kings 3:9 – So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours? In this study, we will examine Solomon’s request and consider why exactly did he ask for wisdom, and whether we should also ask for wisdom.
1 Chronicles 4:10 – Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Worrying is a tendency of many, and it is easy to get trapped in fretting by dwelling too much in a fear or a concern. In this study, we will examine how to free ourselves from worry.
