Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself, “My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.” In this study we will examine this man and how his greed caused him to sin against God, paying severely for taking these matters lightly.
Hebrews 12:14 – Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. In this study, we will explore the idea of peace and holiness being attributes that we need to pursue.
2 John 1:9 – Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. In this study, we will take an interest in one of the characteristics of false teachers, paying special attention to the concept of running as used in the Bible.
Psalm 119:32 – I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free. In this study, referring strongly to the imagery of running, we’ll look into how exactly running in the path of God’s commands will set our hearts free.
