2 Thessalonians 2:16 – May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope. In this study, we will examine the nature how is it that we ask Christians can remain steadfast even in the face of strong persecution.
2 Corinthians 1:4 – who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. In this study, through the epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, we will examine how we can be a comfort to others.
John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. In this study, we will examine how this verse can be comforted and still have peace even in bad times.
Jeremiah 6:16 – This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ In this study we will examine the contradiction in this great promise – how we often reject what we know is good in pursuit of the bad.
Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. In this study, we will analyse this verse bit by bit with heavy reference to the rest of psalm 23.
Psalm 27:14 – Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. In this study we will examine the virtue of patience when it comes to waiting for the Lord.
