Philippians 1:23 – I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; In this study, we will focus on the first of Paul’s heart – on death – and ponder about Paul’s declaration that death is a situation that is better by far.
Acts 21:13 – Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” In this study, we will examine the heart of Paul for his brothers and sisters, and the heart of Paul for Jesus.
Job 3:20 – Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul. In this study, we will look at one of Job’s ‘why’s and without trying to answer his question, we will attempt to understand the emotions behind his question.
Hebrews 12:2 – Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. In this study we will reflect on who Jesus was – in our preparation and meditation for Good Friday.
