Job 13:15 – Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face. In this study, we will example the faith that is behind this declaration – a faith that is not dependent on gifts, or blessings, or anything else.
Ephesians 4:27 – and do not give the devil a foothold. In this study, we will look at the what are some of the common footholds that the devil has over us and what we can do about them.
James 4:7 – Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. In this study we will examine the direct relationship between submitting to God and resisting the devil, and the qualities that we need to have in order to do so.
Job 1:6 – One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. In this study we will tackle this controversial verse and the fairytale-like introduction regarding the episode of the spiritual realm.
Job 2:10 tells us further about Job’s initial reaction towards the tragedy that he was dealt with. Here, we see how he responds to his wife and puts her in her place, and how in declaring the sovereignty of God, Job was affirmed to have not sinned.
